Switch 1-8: Do you wantan automaticlinefeed?
If you leave this switch at the ON position,a separateline-feedcode is
requiredto obtaina linefeed.
If you movethis switch to the OFF position,the printerperformsboth a
carriagereturnand linefeedeachtime it receivesa carnage-returncode.
Mostcomputersystemssenda linefeedcode,orbotha carriagereturnand
linefeed,at theendof eachline,so this switchshouldbe left ON.
If you getdoubleline spacingwhenyou expectsinglespacing,or if lines
overprinteach other,try changingthesettingof this switch.
Switch 2-1: Doesyoursoftwaredownloadnewcharactersto the printer?
To downloadcharactersthisswitchmustbe OFF.Theprinterthenusesits
RAMmemoryfor storingcharacterpatternsandprovidesonly a one-line
printbuffer.If youleavethis switchONtheprinteruses itsRAMmemory
asaninputbuffer,allowingthecomputerto senddatafasterthantheprinter
prints.
