
Switch A-2: Doesyour softwaredownloadcharactersto theprinter?
InordertodownloadcharactersthisswitchmustbeintheOFFposition.The
printer then uses its RAM memory for storing character patterns and
providesonlyaone-lineprintbuffer.IfyouleavethisswitchON,theprinter
usesitsRAMmemoryasaninputbuffer,allowingthecomputertosenddata
fasterthantheprinterprints.
Switch A-3: Do you wantan automaticline feed?
If you leave this switchin the ON position,a separateline-feedcode is
requiredfromyourcomputerto obtaina linefeed.
If you move this switchto the OFF position,the printerperformsboth a
carnage returnandlinefeedeachtimeit receivesa carriage-returncode.
Mostcomputersystemssendalinefeedcode,or botha carriagereturnand
line feed, atthe end of eachline, so this switchshouldbe left ON.
If you get doubleline spacingwhenyou expectsinglespacing,or if lines
overprinteachother,try changingthe settingof thisswitch.
Switch A-4: Are yougoingto usethe automaticsheetfeeder(ASF)?
In ordertousetheautomaticsheetfeederSF-1ODN,movethisswitchtothe
OFFposition.Otherwiseleaveit ON.
Switch B-1: Are you goingto printon multi-partpaper?
Youcanuseupto 3-plypaperwhenthis switchis ON. If youwantto print
orI4-plypaper,set thisswitchto the OFFposition.
Switch B-2: Doyouwantthe printertostopprintingattheendof thepaper,
or to keepprinting?
WhenthisswitchisOFFtheprinterignoresthepaper-outdetectorandprints
downto (andbeyond)thebottomedge.Otherwiseleaveit ON.
Switch B-3: Do you want to advancepaper automaticallyat the end of
printing?
Youcan selectthe Tear Off functionwiththis switchOFF.
Whenusingfanfoldpaper,theTear Off functionallowsyouto tear off one
sheetof paperwithoutfullyadvancingthe followingsheet.
Switch B-4: This switch is used for technicalpurpose only. Leave this
switchON.
